252-Megawatt Solar Development in Texas Moves Forward with Jones Power

5 Mar 2025

Jones Power is executing civil construction for a 252-megawatt solar project in South Central Texas. The 1,250-acre site is part of Texas' growing renewable energy sector.

Construction began in September 2024 and includes site preparation, road construction with geotextile reinforcement, sediment control system installation, earthwork, drainage culverts, sediment basins, and laydown yards. These elements are designed to support site management and environmental protection.

"This solar project represents another significant milestone for Jones Power as we continue to expand our presence in Texas' growing renewable energy market," said John Clark, CEO of Jones Power. "Our team's expertise in civil construction for utility-scale solar projects allows us to deliver high-value solutions for our clients."

The project reinforces Jones Power's position as a leading civil contractor in the renewable energy industry. The company continues to play a key role in supporting the growth of sustainable infrastructure across the United States.
