Arevon Energy Launches 430 MW Kelso Solar Project in Missouri

10 Mar 2026
Arevon Energy, a US-based renewable energy developer, has begun operations at the 430 MWdc Kelso Solar Project in Scott County, Missouri. Developed, constructed, and operated by Arevon Energy, the project represents an investment of over USD 500 million and is the company’s first utility-scale solar installation in Missouri.

The project increases Missouri’s total solar generation capacity by nearly 50%, supplying electricity to more than 62,000 homes annually. Justin Johnson, Interim CEO and COO of Arevon Energy, said the facility reflects the company’s focus on producing safe, domestic energy.

The Kelso Solar Project is part of Arevon Energy’s Midwest expansion. The company recently commissioned the Ratts 1 and Heirloom Solar Projects in Indiana, totaling 264 MWdc, and is building the 124 MWdc Big Muddy Solar Project in Illinois.

Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, Arevon Energy owns and operates more than 6 GW of solar and energy storage projects across 18 states, with USD 11 billion in capital investment. It also has over 600 MW under construction and a 7 GW development pipeline.

The project adds significant renewable energy capacity in Missouri and highlights growing private investment in US utility-scale solar.
