Aspen Power, a distributed generation platform focused on renewable energy, has completed ten new solar projects across Pennsylvania, contributing a total capacity of 42.5 megawatts (MW) -- enough to power approximately 8,500 homes annually.

The sites mark the first phase of Aspen Power's multi-stage rollout in the state. The initiative supports Pennsylvania's clean energy goals, including a target of 18% electricity from renewables by the end of 2025.

At a ceremony held in Mercer County, Aspen Power CEO Jorge Vargas emphasized the project's economic and environmental benefits. "We're proud to offer affordable electricity and long-term income for landowners while supporting Pennsylvania's energy independence," Vargas said.

Local landowners are also seeing direct benefits. Judy King, who leased land for one of the projects, said it provides her fourth-generation farm with stable income, helping secure its future.

The projects generated roughly 800 jobs during development, construction, and maintenance. Beyond clean energy, the installations offer a sustainable revenue stream for rural communities, reinforcing the role of solar power as a critical component of the state's energy strategy.

Aspen Power has developed or acquired over 600 renewable energy projects across 26 U.S. states, continuing its mission to build a reliable, affordable clean energy future.
