Croatia’s Dalekovod Partners with Tyrens on $33.7M Sweden Grid Project
Croatian engineering firm Dalekovod has secured a $33.7 million (€29.41 million) contract in Sweden, partnering with Tyrens to support the development of high-voltage transmission infrastructure.
According to a company filing, Dalekovod – Projekt, a subsidiary of Dalekovod, will lead a consortium with Swedish consultancy Tyrens on four 400 kV transmission line projects commissioned by Svenska Kraftnät, Sweden’s national grid operator.
The contract covers a broad scope of preparatory and technical services, including feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed design, construction support, and final project documentation.
The work is expected to be carried out over a long-term period from 2027 to 2038, reflecting the scale and complexity of the infrastructure involved.
Dalekovod operates as part of Končar Elektroindustrija, a regional electrical engineering group. The project highlights continued cross-border collaboration in Europe’s energy sector, particularly in strengthening transmission networks to support growing electricity demand and renewable energy integration.
