Linxon Signs Exclusivity Agreement with Available Power for 100 MW Greenport Battery Energy Storage System in Texas

Linxon and Available Power have signed an exclusivity agreement for the 100 MW/200 MWh Greenport Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Austin, Texas. This agreement further solidifies the strategic partnership between the two companies, building on their collaboration for 1 GW of distributed energy storage projects in the ERCOT market.

The Greenport project represents a flagship initiative for Available Power's distributed energy resource (DER) platform, which leverages battery energy storage to deliver highly available and flexible power assets, ensuring access to clean and reliable energy. The collaboration with Linxon is expected to accelerate the energy transition in Texas, generating value for investors, landowners, and grid operators.

The scope of the project includes the design, construction, installation, and testing of all necessary equipment for the BESS installation. This encompasses a 345/34.5kV, 130 MVA step-up power transformer, 345kV AIS equipment, battery enclosures, inverter skid with coupling transformer, inverter control system/EMS, and station auxiliary supply system. The Greenport project is scheduled for completion by Q1 2025, and both Linxon and Available Power remain committed to advancing the energy transition and fostering sustainability in the Texas ERCOT market.
