Octillion Power Systems Inaugurates New Battery Manufacturing Facility in Nevada

Octillion Power Systems, a global leader in advanced lithium-ion battery packs for electric vehicles, has opened a new manufacturing facility in Reno, Nevada. The Nevada One facility, which spans 40,000 square feet, is part of the company's expansion into the North American electric vehicle (EV) and clean energy markets.

With a forecasted production capacity of 1GWh by 2025, the new facility will support Octillion's growing demand from the EV, off-highway, commercial, marine, and grid storage sectors. The company currently operates seven other global manufacturing facilities and anticipates reaching a total of 25GWh in annual production.

"This new facility is a key step in our North American expansion strategy," said Paul Beach, Global President of Octillion Power Systems. He emphasized that the Reno site will serve as a "working model" for clients aiming to scale their own co-located battery production.

The facility is expected to employ 40-50 workers at peak capacity, contributing to the economic growth of the region. Taylor Adams, CEO of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN), welcomed the new investment, citing it as a significant boost to Nevada's clean tech industry.

The rapid establishment of the facility, from lease signing to full production, showcases Octillion's ability to scale quickly in the fast-growing EV sector.
