Eaton and Siemens Energy Partner to Accelerate Data Center Development

10 Jun 2025
Eaton and Siemens Energy have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at accelerating the construction and deployment of new data center capacity worldwide. The initiative responds to rising demand driven by artificial intelligence and cloud computing by offering standardized, modular systems with integrated on-site power solutions.

The partnership enables simultaneous construction of data centers and power plants, reducing project timelines and supporting grid-independent operation. Siemens Energy will supply scalable, modular power plants built around its SGT-800 gas turbines, which deliver up to 500 megawatts (MW) of electricity. These plants are designed with redundancy, battery storage, and future-ready hydrogen compatibility to reduce carbon emissions.

Eaton will provide essential electrical infrastructure and software--including switchgear, UPS, busways, racks, and engineering services--enabling rapid, skidded modular builds from grid connection to IT load protection.

Cyrille Brisson, Global Segment Leader for Data Centers at Eaton, noted that the solution is flexible and location-independent, offering developers fast deployment and lower emissions. Andreas Pistauer, Global Head of Sales at Siemens Energy, emphasized the potential to shorten time-to-market by up to two years, eliminate diesel backup generators, and cut COâ‚‚ emissions by 50%.

This collaboration is expected to offer data center developers more reliable, scalable, and sustainable infrastructure options to meet global digital demand.
