Eiffage Secures $87M Deals for 270 MW of Wind in Spain
Eiffage has secured contracts worth more than $87 million (€80 million) in Spain for onshore wind infrastructure projects awarded by Capital Energy.
The contracts were granted to Eiffage Energía Sistemas, the group’s energy subsidiary, and cover electrical infrastructure for wind farms in the Castile and León region with a combined installed capacity of 270 MW.
The larger contract, valued at nearly $58 million (€53 million), relates to the Terrer wind farm complex. The scope includes construction of a transformer substation and a high-voltage transmission line to enable grid evacuation for the Pedrecha, San Cristóbal and Cabezuelas wind farms, which together have a capacity of approximately 150 MW. Completion is scheduled for 2027.
The second contract, worth around $29 million (€27 million), covers the 120 MW Canales Sur wind farm. Under the agreement, Eiffage Energía Sistemas will handle engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of the electrical systems, including a transformer substation and an underground high-voltage transmission line. This project is also expected to be completed in 2027.
The awards strengthen Eiffage’s position in Spain’s renewable energy infrastructure sector as the country continues expanding its onshore wind capacity and associated grid connections.
