Enviromena Launches Construction of Longpasture Solar Project

Enviromena has started construction of the 68MWp Longpasture solar farm in County Durham, UK, with energization targeted for autumn 2027.
The project is expected to generate enough electricity to power around 14,000 homes annually and includes ecological enhancements. Enviromena has also launched a $136,000 (£100,000) community benefit fund, with funding distributed to local organizations and grassroots initiatives.
“We want the benefits of Longpasture to extend well beyond the clean electricity it will generate,” said Lee Adams, Chief Commercial Officer at Enviromena.
“Successful infrastructure is about more than delivering essential renewable energy assets, it’s also about helping communities thrive,” said Marius Biedka, Senior Investment Manager at Bluefield Solar.
The project was acquired by Enviromena from Bluefield Solar and Lightrock Power last summer.
