Flagship Siemens Gamesa Offshore Wind Turbine Sparks to Life

Ã˜STERILD - The SG 14-236 DD prototype, Siemens Gamesa's largest ever wind turbine, has produced its first power and delivered it to the grid.

According to Siemens Gamesa, the company has developed a new wind turbine that boasts impressive capabilities. With 115-meter-long blades and a rotor diameter of 236 meters, the turbine has a capacity of up to 15 MW with Power Boost, which is 30 percent more energy than its predecessor, the SG 11.0-200 DD.

Siemens Gamesa recently announced that the prototype of the wind turbine has been fully installed at the Danish national test center for large wind turbines in Østerild. The installation of the prototype marks a significant milestone in the company's efforts to advance wind turbine technology and increase the efficiency of renewable energy sources.

Siemens Gamesa's new wind turbine is expected to have a major impact on the renewable energy industry and contribute to the transition to a cleaner and more sustainable future.
