Linxon, Hitachi Energy and FTC Solar Sign Solar, BESS MoU
Linxon, Hitachi Energy and FTC Solar have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly pursue utility-scale solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across North America and other agreed markets.
Under the framework, Linxon will act as EPC integrator, providing engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project execution. Hitachi Energy will provide utility-scale solar inverters, BESS power conversion systems, and automation and control systems. FTC Solar will supply solar trackers, racking and related balance-of-system equipment.
“The electricity era requires infrastructure that can expand faster, operate more intelligently and remain resilient as demand grows,” said Massimo Danieli, CEO Grid Automation at Hitachi Energy.
The companies plan to coordinate technology selection, manufacturing and supply-chain planning earlier in project development and standardize solar, BESS and substation designs. The agreement establishes a framework for future collaboration. No specific projects, generation or storage capacities, investment values, customers or project timelines were announced.
