Suzlon Secures 838 MW Order from Tata Power Renewable Energy in FY26

Suzlon Group, India's leading wind energy solutions provider, has secured an 838 MW order from Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), marking its largest order of FY26 and the second-largest in the company's history.

The project will deploy 266 S144 wind turbines, each rated at 3.15 MW, across Karnataka (302 MW), Maharashtra (271 MW), and Tamil Nadu (265 MW). The initiative is part of India's Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) program, designed to provide round-the-clock, grid-stable renewable energy, supporting the nation's clean power transition.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, said the order reflects the company's support for TPREL's goal of 100% clean energy by 2045, and highlights their decade-long partnership. JP Chalasani, CEO of Suzlon Group, emphasized TPREL's commitment to technology, reliability, and execution, noting that wind energy will play a key role in providing dispatchable clean power.

Headquartered in Pune, Suzlon Group has installed over 21 GW of wind energy capacity across 17 countries, with a workforce of more than 8,100 employees. Its portfolio includes advanced 2.x MW and 3.x MW wind turbines, designed for efficiency, reliability, and integration into modern grid systems.

This order underscores the growing importance of FDRE projects in India's renewable energy strategy, enabling scalable and reliable wind power deployment to meet the country's ambitious clean energy targets.
