Waaree Solar Americas to Manufacture 586 MW Modules for U.S. Projects

Waaree Solar Americas Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited, has entered into a significant agreement to supply 586 megawatts (MW) of solar PV modules to a prominent U.S.-based independent power producer (IPP). The deal, valued at USD 176 million (approx. INR 1500 crore), strengthens Waaree's role in the American renewable energy market.

Manufacturing will take place at Waaree's Brookshire, Texas facility, with module deliveries scheduled across four large-scale projects during FY 2026-27. The modules will include several U.S.-made components, ensuring compliance with Investment Tax Credit (ITC) domestic content rules.

Sunil Rathi, President of Waaree Solar Americas, stated the deal represents the company's commitment to supporting the U.S. energy transition through local manufacturing and high-quality module supply. He noted that the Brookshire facility is positioned to meet evolving demand while enhancing energy security and supporting job creation.

The agreement further positions Waaree as a dependable player in global solar manufacturing, capable of mitigating supply chain risks and aligning with U.S. clean energy policy goals. The company emphasized its readiness to serve the increasing demand for solar modules, especially as AI and industrial growth drive up U.S. power needs.
