ERICSSON has joined Anterix's new $250 million AnterixAccelerator program, aimed at helping U.S. electric utilities roll out private wireless broadband networks over 900 MHz spectrum. With over 15 utilities and partners already involved, the initiative is a major step toward building smarter, more resilient grid infrastructure.

Private LTE networks are increasingly critical as utilities face growing demands for reliability, digital transformation, and integration of connected technologies. Anterix, which already holds $400 million in network contracts, provides spectrum coverage across the entire U.S., Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii.

With Ericsson now on board, utilities gain a leading wireless partner to help accelerate deployment of secure, mission-critical communications systems.

Launched in March, the AnterixAccelerator program aims to speed up adoption of private LTE solutions and foster collaboration between technology leaders. The broader Anterix Active Ecosystem Program (AAEP) now includes over 100 members, such as Motorola Solutions, GE, Nokia, and Ubicquia, all working to support grid modernization.
