GE Vernova has signed several wind energy agreements in Spain during Q2 2024, further bolstering its presence in the country's renewable energy sector. Spain, known for its ambitious renewable energy goals, will benefit from GE Vernova's wind turbine technology, which holds the second-largest installed base among OEMs, according to the Spanish Wind Energy Association.

In Castilla León, ERBI has selected GE Vernova for its wind farms for the third time. The company will supply 16 units of its 6.1 MW-158m turbines across the Casa Vieja and Pedrejones wind farms, with eight units going to each. Turbine deliveries are expected to begin by the end of 2024.

In Catalonia, Enervent has chosen GE Vernova to repower the Les Colladetes wind farm, upgrading it with six new turbines, while two additional turbines will be installed at the same site.

For the first time, GE Vernova will partner with Greenvolt to supply and commission five turbines at the Barranco del Agua wind farm in Andalucía.
