GE Vernova has signed an agreement to deliver 12 of its 6.1 MW-158m onshore wind turbines to Çalık Renewables for the Zatriq I & II Wind Farms in Kosovo. The 73 MW deal marks Çalık Renewables' first renewable energy project in the country and was booked in Q1 2025.

Scheduled for initial delivery at the end of 2025, the project is expected to be fully operational by the second half of 2026. Once completed, it will provide clean electricity for the equivalent of approximately 32,000 households.

Gilan Sabatier, Chief Commercial Officer of GE Vernova's Onshore Wind International Markets, emphasized the importance of expanding the company's energy solutions footprint in the Balkans. "We are pleased to work with Çalık Renewables and Çalık Enerji to bring more wind power online in Kosovo," said Sabatier.

Emre Erdogan, General Manager of Çalık Renewables, called the investment a "significant milestone" as the company expands beyond Türkiye into the European renewable energy market.

The deal adds to GE Vernova's existing 36 turbines operating in Kosovo and reinforces the company's role in helping countries meet decarbonization targets. With approximately 57,000 turbines installed globally, GE Vernova's wind segment continues to play a central role in global energy transition strategies.
