Global Port Services secures multiple contracts to support their client

9 Dec 2022

SCOTLAND - The WTGs should be installed on top of offshore turbine foundations.

Port of Nigg has announced that Global Port Services, owned by Global Energy Group, has secured multiple contracts to support their client Seagreen cPPA, with site enabling works for the pre-assembly construction of wind turbine components (WTGs) at their Port of Nigg facility.

According to Port of Nigg, a joint venture between TotalEnergies and SSE Renewables, Seagreen will be Scotland's largest and the world's deepest fixed foundation offshore wind farm once complete and will power more than 1.6m homes. With a total installed generating capacity of 1,075 MW, the project is due to be fully operational in summer 2023.

The WTGs should be installed on top of offshore turbine foundations. Global Port Services are simultaneously fulfilling the storage, marshalling and logistics contracts for the 'yellow jacket' foundation towers for Seagreen on the South Quay at the Port of Nigg, under a separate contract with Seaway7.
