Grenergy Signs Long-term 400 GWh Hybrid PPA with Georgia Power in the US

20 May 2026
Grenergy has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Georgia Power for the output of its Beaver Creek hybrid renewable energy project in the United States.

The agreement covers approximately 400 GWh of electricity per year over a 20-year period and includes associated renewable energy attributes. The project will also include battery storage operations managed by Georgia Power.

Located in Baldwin County, Georgia, the Beaver Creek project will combine 229 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity with 183 MWh of battery energy storage. Commercial operation is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2028, with the PPA taking effect in May 2029.

According to Grenergy, the project forms part of its broader expansion in the US market, where it is developing a portfolio of solar, hybrid, and standalone storage assets to meet rising electricity demand driven by data centers and artificial intelligence.

The company currently operates in multiple US states and aims to replicate its combined solar-plus-storage model previously deployed in Chile and Europe.
