Enerjisa Üretim Advances Wind Projects in Türkiye with USD 180 Million Investment

Enerjisa Üretim, one of Türkiye’s leading independent power producers, has secured a USD 180 million financing package to support the development of three wind power plants with a combined capacity of 250 MW in Muğla province.

The financing has been committed by FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, and DEG – Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, with FMO acting as lead arranger. The investment will support the Gaia (83 MW), Falp (75 MW), and Artuna (92 MW) wind projects, which are expected to become operational in 2026.

The three facilities are expected to strengthen Türkiye’s renewable energy capacity while supporting the country’s transition toward a lower-carbon energy system. Once operational, the projects are projected to generate approximately 630 GWh of clean electricity annually by 2027 and avoid around 221,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year.

The financing provides long-term funding for the projects, including an eight-year loan from FMO, while additional capital is expected to be mobilized from institutional investors.

Enerjisa Üretim, owned by Sabancı Holding and E.ON, operates a diversified portfolio of renewable and conventional energy assets and aims to increase the share of domestic and renewable sources in its installed capacity to 70% by 2030, up from approximately 63% in 2025.

The company’s expansion strategy is focused on increasing renewable generation capacity while supporting a more flexible and resilient energy system for Türkiye.
