Stationary battery manufacturer Hithium has sealed a monumental three-year deal to supply 5GWh of cutting-edge battery capacity to Powin, LLC, a leading global energy storage platform provider. This collaboration follows the successful delivery of 1.5GWh under their initial agreement signed in 2023. Hithium will employ its 300Ah lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) cells, renowned for their exceptional durability and unique technology facilitating the active, sustained release of lithium-ions, extending cell lifespan to over 12,000 cycles.

Hithium's 300Ah cells, considered the manufacturer's most robust product at the cell level, boast a mere 2% aging effect over the first thousand cycles, a significant improvement compared to the industry norm of approximately 6%. The company's state-of-the-art, automated production lines contribute to the cells' outstanding reliability.

Monee Pang, Hithium Vice President, expressed pride in securing this significant agreement, emphasizing its global scale and marking a milestone within the company's first year in the international market. Pang stated, "With the 300Ah cell, the upcoming projects will showcase unique innovations we've achieved in cell chemistry to extend battery life and performance efficiency."

Jason Eschenbrenner, Powin Vice President Global Procurement, highlighted the value of Hithium's 300Ah cell in extending project lifespan, citing its exceptional reliability and longevity as a foundational building block.
