ABB is investing $120 million to expand its US manufacturing operations, aiming to meet rising demand in sectors such as data centers, utilities, and industrial infrastructure. The investment will create 250 new jobs across two sites in Tennessee and Mississippi.
The company is allocating $80 million to build a new 320,000 sq. ft. facility in Selmer, Tennessee, which will replace existing operations and increase production capacity by over 50%. This site will manufacture electrical distribution equipment for large-scale industrial and commercial facilities, adding 50 skilled jobs. The new facility is expected to open in Q4 2026.
Additionally, ABB will invest $40 million to double the footprint of its Senatobia, Mississippi facility, expanding production of low voltage circuit breakers for data centers and industrial power systems. This expansion will create 200 new jobs, bringing the site’s workforce to over 1,000 employees. The upgraded facility is set to open in Q2 2026.
The latest investment follows ABB’s ongoing commitment to the US market, where it has invested over $500 million in the past three years. With 17,000 employees and nearly 40 facilities across 20 states, the company continues to strengthen its North American presence.
