Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) have announced a strengthened collaboration aimed at advancing renewable energy, network modernization, and energy storage solutions. This partnership, discussed during a visit by an EPRI delegation led by President and CEO Arshad Mansoor, focuses on joint initiatives to support research, development, sustainability, and digital transformation in the energy sector.
The meeting, which took place at DEWA's headquarters, was led by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, and included discussions on specialized programs in smart grids, energy efficiency, asset management, cybersecurity, and photovoltaic system integration. These initiatives are designed to enhance the capabilities of DEWA employees and facilitate knowledge exchange with global experts in renewable energy.
The collaboration aligns with DEWA's commitment to Dubai’s ambitious clean energy goals, including the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, which aim to generate 100% of the city’s energy from clean sources by 2050.
