Enel North America and Meta have signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for 115 megawatts (MW) from the Rockhaven wind farm in Murray and Carter counties, Oklahoma. This marks the third clean energy collaboration between the two companies.
The agreement supports Meta’s goal of powering its operations with 100% renewable energy. Since 2018, Enel North America has supplied clean energy to Meta’s Sarpy Data Center in Nebraska via the Rattlesnake Creek wind farm and later expanded the partnership with a PPA for the Alta Farms wind project in Illinois.
“As power demand increases due to electrification, data centers, and AI, Enel is ready to meet this opportunity,” said Stephen Pike, Head of Enel Green Power North America. Urvi Parekh, Meta’s Global Head of Energy, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability, stating, “These projects support our regional operations and help us reach our clean energy goals.”
With over 100 PPAs and 7.3 gigawatts (GW) of contracted capacity, Enel North America remains a key player in the U.S. renewable energy sector. Under its new three-year plan, the company will continue expanding its wind, solar, and demand response assets, reinforcing North America as a strategic region for investment.
