Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd. has announced plans to invest up to $1.1 billion in an integrated data center and renewable energy complex in Ashalim, Israel. The project, secured through a Israel Land Authority (ILA) tender, will span 50 acres and incorporate a state-of-the-art data center, a solar power plant, and an energy storage facility.
The site is designed to support 100 MW of hourly consumption capacity, making it one of the most advanced renewable-powered data centers in the region. By integrating solar and energy storage systems, the project aims to reduce operational costs while enhancing energy efficiency.
This investment represents a major milestone in aligning data infrastructure with sustainable energy solutions, contributing to Israel’s clean energy transition.
