Each of the three proposed sites is expected to deliver at least 600 MW of clean, carbon-free power. Founded in 2022, Elementl Power is a forward-thinking nuclear developer focused on deploying next-generation technologies with a goal of adding over 10 gigawatts of nuclear capacity to the U.S. grid by 2035. The company’s Chairman and CEO, Chris Colbert, highlighted that innovative collaborations like this are crucial for meeting the energy demands of the future while simultaneously supporting net-zero goals.
This new partnership will also see Elementl Power working closely with utility and power partners to identify potential sites, assess various technologies, and continue seeking strategic partners for engineering and construction. Google has committed to exploring future opportunities for off-taking the power generated once these sites are operational.
