Kajima Poland, in partnership with solar installer Hymon, has successfully completed the construction of an 11.6MW solar photovoltaic power plant for NGK Ceramics Polska, a leading Japanese automotive components manufacturer. Located in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland, the solar plant will power NGK’s manufacturing operations using renewable energy generated by 20,000 solar panels installed across a 51,000 square meter area.
The new power plant is expected to produce 11,600 MWh of energy annually, significantly contributing to NGK Ceramics’ goal of achieving carbon neutrality. Kajima Poland oversaw the design and construction of the project, including securing all necessary permits, while Hymon supplied and installed the solar panels, inverters, and substructures.
Maciej Runkiewicz, President of Kajima Poland, commented, “Our extensive experience in constructing on various types of terrain, including rocky soils, proved invaluable for this project. Through collaboration with Hymon, we developed customized technology and quality assurance plans, resulting in reduced execution time and cost savings, including an 80% reduction in the number of holes drilled.”
Grzegorz Rutkowski, CEO of Hymon, added, “This large-scale project required significant expertise. Over 55 experienced team members were involved in the installation, and we are proud to contribute to improving air quality and advancing renewable energy in the region.”
Since its inception in 2011, Hymon has completed more than 80,000 photovoltaic installations in Poland, serving both residential and industrial clients.
