The PNE Group has received official approvals for the construction and operation of two onshore wind farms in Hessen and a solar power plant in Brandenburg. These new projects represent a significant step in the company’s renewable energy expansion, with a combined installed capacity of approximately 185 MW.
The Herzhausen Wind Farm, located in Mittelhessen, is set to feature six wind turbines with a total capacity of 33 MW. The Welsche-Lied Wind Farm in Nordhessen will consist of four turbines, totaling 27.8 MW. Additionally, the Altlandsberg Solar Plant in Brandenburg will include over 200,000 modules, delivering around 124 MWp of power.
Together, these projects will provide renewable electricity to approximately 73,000 households annually, supporting PNE Group's ongoing growth strategy. Heiko Wuttke, CEO of PNE AG, commented, “These approvals are a crucial step towards expanding our self-operated portfolio and increasing our contribution to the energy transition.”
With this expansion, the company aims to have a total operational or under-construction capacity of 1.1 GW by 2027 and a project pipeline of 10 to 15 GW.
