Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has announced a $700 million investment in its U.S. operations through 2027. The expansion aims to support rising demand for AI-driven energy infrastructure and advanced manufacturing.
As part of this initiative, Schneider Electric will launch a Robotics & Motion Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, focusing on AI-enhanced motion and robotics solutions. The investment will also create more than 1,000 jobs across the country, including engineering, development, and manufacturing roles, with a strong emphasis on veteran hiring.
“We stand at an inflection point for the technology and industrial sectors in the U.S., driven by incredible AI growth and unprecedented energy demand,” said Aamir Paul, President of North America Operations at Schneider Electric. “To lead the transformation ahead, we must be agile and act now to advance ambitious digitalization and efficiency goals to make an impact for generations to come.”
The expansion builds on Schneider Electric's previous $440 million investment in U.S. operations since 2020, bringing its total commitment this decade to over $1 billion. The company is also modernizing production facilities in Welcome, North Carolina, and expanding manufacturing capabilities in Tennessee, Missouri, Ohio, and Texas.
Additionally, Schneider Electric unveiled a new AI-powered software platform designed to help utilities modernize the power grid, addressing increasing energy demands from AI and data centers.
