In a significant move towards enhancing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Europe, Siemens has chosen Monta as its preferred EV charging software provider. This strategic partnership between Siemens and Monta aims to accelerate the expansion of EV charging capabilities, making them more accessible and convenient for corporate fleets and facility management.
Siemens will utilize Monta's Charge Point Management System (CPMS) to manage its own fleet and charging points while offering a comprehensive solution for EV charging at work, in public spaces, and at home. This collaboration positions Siemens as a one-stop-shop solutions provider for e-mobility services for corporate fleet operators, with a focus on enhancing the experience for company car drivers, pool car users, and employees.
Monta's CPMS offers extensive functionalities, including charge point operation management, load balancing, charger availability, accessibility reservation, and pricing. Additionally, it provides fleet management, smart access rights, automatic home reimbursement, and multiple payment options for drivers, ensuring a seamless charging experience. Siemens offers this solution as a managed service, taking care of system setup and monitoring on behalf of customers, while a mobile app enhances the overall charging experience.
Markus Mildner, CEO eMobility at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We're excited to be working together with Monta, integrating their innovative, feature-filled software into our offerings. This supports our ambitions to further expand EV charging infrastructure."
Casper Rasmussen, CEO, CTO & Co-founder of Monta, echoed the excitement, saying, "We're proud to collaborate with a well-renowned company like Siemens, and together, we can accelerate the buildout of a pan-European charging network where EV drivers and charging point owners alike experience a smooth EV charging experience."
Siemens eMobility, part of Siemens Smart Infrastructure, offers a range of IoT-enabled hardware, software, and services for AC and DC charging, catering to a wide range of applications. This partnership signifies a significant step towards making e-mobility an integral part of everyday life and a more sustainable future.
