Siemens has partnered with Guofu Hydrogen, a leading supplier of integrated hydrogen energy solutions based in China, and RCT GH Hydrogen, a Germany-based hydrogen systems provider, to advance global green hydrogen production. The companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that aims to accelerate the development and manufacturing of electrolyzers and green hydrogen production facilities.
Under the terms of the agreement, Siemens will become the preferred supplier and technology partner for Guofu Hydrogen's expansion plans. This includes the development and engineering of electrolyzer systems, equipping new electrolyzer manufacturing plants starting in Germany, and the establishment of hydrogen production facilities. RCT GH Hydrogen will take the lead in the engineering, procurement, and construction of these facilities.
Axel Lorenz, CEO of Siemens Process Automation, emphasized the partnership's potential to drive the industrialization of green hydrogen production. The collaboration aims to set new benchmarks in electrolyzer manufacturing and scalability, contributing to the global energy transition. Pinfang Wu, Board Chairman of Guofu Hydrogen, highlighted the value of Siemens' automation and digital expertise, which will enable a faster global market expansion.
The partnership also focuses on the creation of a hydrogen partner ecosystem that will bring together various stakeholders to drive innovation and standardization within the industry. Siemens' Xcelerator platform will support this initiative, enabling seamless integration and collaboration across the hydrogen value chain.
