TenneT has announced that Tim Meyerjürgens will assume the role of Chairman of the Management Board (CEO) for TenneT Germany, effective January 1, 2025. This appointment comes as TenneT strengthens its national focus, transitioning into two separate organizations in Germany and the Netherlands, both under the umbrella of the TenneT Group. This restructuring is intended to support the company’s growth and facilitate future private investments in TenneT Germany, which is currently under review by TenneT Holding and the Dutch state as the sole shareholder.
Meyerjürgens expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead TenneT Germany during a pivotal time, emphasizing the company’s mission to drive the energy transition and maintain a reliable and efficient electricity grid. He also highlighted the ongoing collaboration with key figures such as Manon van Beek, Dr. Arina Freitag, and Maarten Abbenhuis, which will continue as part of TenneT's efforts to provide sustainable and affordable energy solutions across Europe.
Manon van Beek, CEO of TenneT Holding B.V., praised Meyerjürgens as an exceptional leader who has played a critical role in TenneT’s innovation and grid expansion in Germany. The organizational shift will be a key factor in the company’s future success.
