Vaisala, a leader in measurement technology, has earned a spot in TIME Magazine’s inaugural "World’s Best Companies – Sustainable Growth" ranking. The study, conducted in collaboration with Statista, evaluated over 3,000 companies globally based on revenue growth, financial stability, and environmental responsibility, with 500 making the final list.
Ranking 38th overall, Vaisala stood out for its strong financial health and environmental initiatives, including near-total reliance on green energy. The company also placed among the top 3% globally in sustainability scores and ranked first in Finland.
TIME and Statista’s analysts highlighted Vaisala’s exceptional performance across all metrics, particularly its low Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions. This recognition underscores the company’s commitment to sustainable innovation.
“We see it as our responsibility to drive climate action while delivering growth. Being recognized for this by TIME is a true honor,” said Kai Öistämö, Vaisala’s President and CEO.
The study’s methodology assessed companies on three dimensions: revenue growth (2021-2023), financial health (Piotroski F-Score and Altman Z-Score), and environmental impact metrics such as carbon emissions and resource efficiency.
