Block Transformatoren-Elektronik celebrates its 85th anniversary, reflecting on an impressive journey. Founded in 1939 by Alfred Block, the company started as a small repair shop for radios and radio receivers. A major turning point came in 1971 with the takeover by current CEO Wolfgang Reichelt, who transformed the business into an international player in the production of winding goods and electronic components.
With more than 1,000 employees worldwide, Block is a significant player, not only in northern Germany but also in the global economy. Production facilities in the USA (Franklin Park) and China (Kunshan) complement the sites in Verden, Germany, all following the same company philosophy.
Today’s management includes CEO Reichelt, Udo Leonhard Thiel, and Lars Ullenboom, and the strategic direction of the company has been strengthened further since the beginning of the year, as all management members were granted power of attorney.
