Energoinvest, a leading company based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has announced the successful production of its first domestically manufactured transformers under the Energoinvest brand.
This milestone follows the signing of a strategic partnership with Ares Trafo Ekipmanlari, a Turkish transformer equipment manufacturer. The collaboration, initiated in February, has already yielded results with the rollout of transformers up to 7 MVA, now produced at Energoinvest’s facilities in Tuzla.
The transformers were symbolically painted in the colors of the national flag, marking what the company described as a historic first in BiH's industrial development. The inaugural batch has already secured contracts in three new markets: the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Serbia.
The unveiling took place during the Energetski Zaokret conference, hosted by the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry of the Federation of BiH. The event was attended by key government and company officials, including Vedran Lakić, Minister of Energy, and Nermin Nikšić, Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH.
Mirza Ustamujić, CEO of Energoinvest, emphasized the project as a symbol of domestic innovation and renewal, calling it “the beginning of a new industrial era” for the country.
According to Minister Vedran Lakić, the launch positions Bosnia and Herzegovina to potentially become a significant regional player in transformer production, meeting rising global demand.
