CHILE - The Kimal-Lo Aguirre line is the biggest ongoing transmission project in the country.
CESI SpA has announced that they have supported ISA Interchile in participating in the auction for the development of the Kimal-Lo Aguirre HVDC transmission line in Chile.
According to CESI SpA, with its 1.500 km (932 miles) length and its capacity of 3.000 MW at ± 600 kV, the Kimal-Lo Aguirre line is the biggest ongoing transmission project in the country, and it will mark a key milestone in Chile’s plan to decarbonize its power matrix over the coming decades by enabling additional transport capacity from the north to the center-south.
