COLOMBIA — The government's Mining and Energy Planning Unit (UPME) has launched a tender process for a power transmission infrastructure project in the west of the country.
The project entails the construction and operation of a 230 kV substation in the Pacific port city of Buenaventura and a dual circuit 45 mile transmission line connecting the facility to the existing San Marcos substation in Yumbo.
The construction deadline is May 31, 2025.
Bids for a supervisory contract are due on February 19, with results due for publication on March 2.
Technical and financial proposals for investors will be presented on April 27.
