Cryptonite LLC, a Wyoming-based cryptocurrency mining company, has taken legal action against Delv Innovations, Cryptech Solutions, and Boundary Electric, filing a lawsuit in Wyoming Chancery Court. The lawsuit stems from a contract entered into in October 2021, wherein Cryptonite contracted the defendants to supply 12 electric transformers for its bitcoin mining operations, for a total of $927,000. Despite the agreed-upon delivery deadline of March 2022, the transformers were not provided until December 2022, over nine months past the agreed-upon date.
Upon receiving the transformers, Cryptonite discovered issues with their quality and safety during inspection. Experts determined the transformers to be substandard, defective, and potentially hazardous. Additionally, further examination revealed that the transformers were not manufactured by Boundary Electric, as promised and represented by the defendants. Instead, another company's logo had been concealed and replaced with Boundary's logo.
The lawsuit alleges breach of contract, fraudulent misrepresentation, and negligence on the part of the defendants. Cryptonite seeks damages exceeding the jurisdictional minimum, as well as attorneys' fees and interest, citing substantial financial damages and setbacks to its business due to the delays and defective products.
