In a bid to fortify Vaslui County's energy infrastructure, Delgaz Grid, a subsidiary of the E.ON Romania Group, announces the successful completion of a significant investment project. The initiative, bolstered by European funds, focuses on the modernization of five pivotal transformer stations across the region, namely Husi, Stanilesti, Vetrisoaia, Falciu, and Murgeni. The upgrade involves the replacement of high and medium voltage equipment, along with the integration of cutting-edge SCADA technology for remote control and data acquisition.
Funded in part by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme 2014-2020, the project underscores a commitment to promoting clean energy and efficiency. With a total investment of $8 million (RON 37.2 million), the endeavor aims to enhance the reliability of electricity supply from renewable sources, ultimately reducing interruptions and maintenance costs while catering to over 40,000 customers.
The comprehensive works, conducted between August 21, 2019, and December 31, 2023, align with broader sustainability goals, emphasizing the importance of transitioning to a greener energy landscape. Delgaz Grid's strategic vision underscores the critical role of smart grids in accommodating diverse renewable sources, such as wind and solar energy. By facilitating seamless integration and distribution, the company contributes to a more resilient and eco-friendly energy ecosystem, driving Vaslui County towards a sustainable future.
