MULFINGEN, GERMANY — This appointment will mark a generational change at the top of the company.

Ebm-papst have recently announced that starting November 1st 2021 Dr. Klaus Geißdörfer will become the new Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Group Executive Board of the ebm‑papst Group.

Dr. Geißdörfer, can look back on a successful career and many years of experience in international top management positions at prominent companies. Most recently, he was a managing director at ONE LOGIC, a leading company in data science and artificial intelligence.

According to the company, they are very happy to welcome an executive with corporate and transformation experience to this position and hope that he will successfully lead the development of the family company with a future-oriented approach as a member of the next generation of management, as this appointment will mark a generational change at the top of the company. Their hope is that Dr. Geißdörfer will use his expertise to continue to drive the digitalization and globalization process within the company forward.

Furthermore, Thomas Wagner, who will be returning to his position of deputy again after having temporarily assumed the leading role, will be supporting Dr. Geißdörfer in his induction and provide active support for the ongoing strategy and transformation process in his role as COO.

“Mr. Thomas Wagner has been a key pillar in the Group’s top management for 37 years. We are extremely grateful that, as planned, he led the company in the interim during the selection process and is going to continue working for ebm‑papst as COO and deputy,” he said further.

“Simply because of my age, I was very happy to support the plan of taking on the CEO role in the interim until a successor had been found for the years to come. I am looking forward to working with Dr. Geißdörfer, an extremely experienced executive in our future fields,” said Thomas Wagner, future deputy and COO.
