SPAIN – Efacec supplied two mobile substations for Iberdrola Group’s i-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes in Navarra.
The supply of the two mobile substations aims to ensure emergency coverage at times of high consumption, as well as in occasional situations of repair or maintenance of equipment in northern Spain.
The delivery of the two substations, each rated 15 MVA 66/21,5 (13,8) kV, marks the completion of another project in over two decades of Efacec’s collaboration with Iberdrola, the manufacturer said in a press release.
Efacec has participated in Iberdrola projects since 2001, having supplied and installed over 100 power transformers for the utility, contributing to the development of a sustainable energy transition strategy.
Suzana Cardoso, Efacec’s project manager said: “Iberdrola is a historical customer for Efacec, for whom we have developed emblematic projects, such as the one we are developing in Portugal, which is one of the largest hydroelectric projects carried out in Europe in the last 25 years for the Spanish company”.
“Spain is a strategic market for Efacec, namely in the area of energy. With growth potential, this is a market that presents us with numerous challenges and opportunities, which we hope to develop with reliable partners”, added Cardoso.
