Fishers, IN – American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ: AREC) announced the completion of a significant power upgrade at its Electrified Materials Corporation facility in Noblesville, Indiana. This upgrade, which includes the installation of a three-phase power transformer, enables the company to move forward with expanding operations at the site. The next phase will involve installing automated, state-of-the-art shredding equipment, which will improve automation, productivity, and overall efficiency at the location.
Previously, the Noblesville facility operated with equipment that could only work with single-phase power, limiting the company’s capacity to grow. With the completion of the power upgrade, Electrified Materials can now install larger, more efficient equipment, significantly expanding operations at the site.
This power upgrade, along with a recent $911,519 matching grant from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, positions Electrified Materials for continued growth. The grant will help the company acquire additional shredding equipment and expand its workforce, supporting the company’s mission to process and recycle end-of-life batteries, magnet materials, and other specialty metals.
The expansion of Electrified Materials' capabilities is a critical step toward improving the recycling process and driving automation in the industry.
