Elsewedy Cables Qatar, a key player in Qatar's infrastructure development, has been awarded the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract by Technip Energies France for the North Field South (NFS) Onshore Project. This strategic initiative aims to establish electricity supply to NFS project facilities, involving the installation of two 400kV cables equipped with power transformers.
Eng. Ahmed Fathy Elsewedy, Managing Director of Elsewedy Cables Qatar, expressed his delight in being selected for this project, highlighting the company's commitment to offering high-quality products and expertise. The project's significance lies in its role in facilitating energy supply for two mega trains capable of processing 8 million tons per annum (Mtpa) of liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
With this expansion initiative, Qatar's LNG production is expected to increase by approximately 16 Mtpa, elevating the total production from 110 to 126 Mtpa.
