Abunayyan Holding, a leading Saudi Arabian provider of water, power, and infrastructure solutions, and Elsewedy Electric KSA, a prominent energy solutions company, have announced a strategic partnership to localize high and ultra-high voltage transformer production in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration, revealed at the recent Energy Localization Forum, aims to support Vision 2030’s energy independence goals, fostering a sustainable and self-reliant future for the Kingdom.
The forum, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy and attended by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, highlighted the Kingdom’s focus on advancing energy localization. Through this partnership, Elsewedy Electric KSA and Abunayyan Holding aim to strengthen local production capabilities, reducing reliance on imports.
Ahmed Elsewedy, President & CEO of Elsewedy Electric, emphasized the partnership's significance: "I am thrilled to announce two transformative milestones that mark a new chapter in our commitment to Saudi Arabia’s energy sector: a strategic partnership with Abunayyan Holding to localize the production of high and extra-high voltage power transformers, and a landmark strategic procurement tender with Saudi Electricity Company to localize the production of medium voltage underground cable accessories. By combining our expertise, technology, and resources, we are positioned to make a lasting impact on Saudi Arabia’s energy infrastructure and contribute meaningfully to a sustainable, self-reliant future.”
Together, Abunayyan Holding and Elsewedy Electric KSA are advancing the Saudi energy landscape, making strides toward a fully localized industry and aligning closely with Vision 2030.
