GE Vernova T&D India announced receiving a significant order worth $47 million from Sterlite Power for the supply of 765 kV power transformers and reactors for the Khavda project.
The project includes supply and supervision services, with completion expected within two years.
The Gujarat Hybrid Renewable Energy Park or Khavda Solar Park is an under-construction renewable energy park located in Kutch district of Gujarat, India. It is expected to generate 30 gigawatt (GW) electricity from both solar panels and wind turbines when completed, over an area of 72,600 hectares (726 km2). 1 GW capacity was commissioned in March 2024.When completed, it will be the biggest hybrid renewable energy park in the world.
Financially, GE Vernova T&D India demonstrated robust growth in Q2 FY25, with standalone net profit surging by 289.08% to $17 million and revenue jumping 58.76% to $130 million compared to Q2 FY24.
