SWEDEN – C4 Energi Group’s electric utility C4 Elnät AB commissioned Hitachi Energy for the testing and maintenance of its transformers.
C4 Energi, a utility based in Kristianstad in the Scania County, Sweden, recognized the importance of preventive maintenance and decided to review and increase its investment in the maintenance of transformers and other power equipment at its facilities. Hitachi Energy was chosen to carry out the condition assessment, dissolved gas analysis (DGA) and oil condition analysis.
Three high-voltage bushings needed due to poor insulation values. The replacement was completed in six weeks and the units were back in service, the manufacturer said in a press release.
The cooperation between C4 Energi and Hitachi Energy continues with a condition assessment of an additional transformer and gas-and-oil analysis set to be carried out on all units.
“We are very pleased to be able to assist C4 Energi in its maintenance efforts and we value this close cooperation,” says Elin Johansson, Local Product Group Manager, Transformer Service at Hitachi Energy in Sweden.
