Smedjebacken, SWEDEN - The inauguration was attended by local and regional representatives and officials.
Hitachi Energy has announced that they inaugurated their new HVDC and FACTS assembly facility in Smedjebacken, Sweden - just a few kilometers from the HVDC center of excellence in Ludvika.
According to Hitachi Energy, around 50 employees will work in the facility, producing semiconductor-based products for our HVDC transmission systems and power quality solutions for projects globally and supporting the world’s energy transition.
According to the company, the inauguration was attended by local and regional representatives and officials, excited about the prospects for the area and with plans to recruit 1,000 people in Sweden.
