Hitachi Energy's Łódź campus in Poland, a cutting-edge research and production center for power and distribution transformers, has been honored with the Factory of the Future award. Presented by the Future Industry Platform Foundation, this accolade recognizes the campus's modern and innovative approach to managing its four production plants and two engineering centers.
The award, established in 2021, focuses on identifying innovative solutions and best practices in the technological, ecological, and organizational transformation of manufacturing enterprises in Poland. Hitachi Energy's Łódź campus, with over 1,400 employees, stood out for its excellent integration of factories, diverse teams, and cooperation among departments.
Mateusz Kowalczykiewicz, Operations Manager at Hitachi Energy, expressed pride in the recognition, stating, "We consider it an inspiration on our path to provide ever more innovative and sustainable solutions for the energy market." A special mention was given to the campus's integration of factories, IT systems, cybersecurity, and research and development activities.
The Łódź campus has become a crucial link in the supply of power and distribution transformers supporting the global energy transition. Hitachi Energy's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is exemplified in the campus's leadership, with 50 percent of factory managers and 35 percent of factory management teams being women.
Daniela Pavone, HR Manager at Hitachi Energy in Europe, highlighted the importance of an inclusive workplace culture, emphasizing, "Innovation is our mindset, and we are agile in responding to changes." The Factory of the Future award, granted until 2026, solidifies Hitachi Energy's position as a progressive and forward-looking company in the energy sector.
