ZÜRICH, SWITZERLAND - The transformer is scheduled to be commissioned in June 2022.
According to the company, the new solution, smaller in size than traditional ones, has recently been successfully installed in a new transformer for one of the biggest Polish energy producers.
According to Hitachi Energy, the new more compact size of the tap changer should help minimize transformer sizes in the future, which in turn will require smaller amounts of oil and tank steel to be needed for transformer production. This should allow companies to save on costs and develop more sustainable designs.
The transformer is scheduled to be commissioned in June 2022.
