The India Electricity Department has begun extensive infrastructure upgrades in Atali, aiming to improve power supply before the summer season. The initiative includes the installation of 25 new 100 KVA transformers and replacing aging power lines with one kilometer of new wiring and an 11-kilometer-long cable. The upgrades are expected to be completed by April.
The Atali electricity subdivision serves approximately 27,000 consumers across 44 villages, including 3,500 agricultural and 100 industrial connections. The region is powered by 33 KV substations in Bajad, Mahasar, Bhilwara, and Kanti, all linked to the 132 KV Atali substation. The grid also comprises 10 RDS feeders and 40 agricultural feeders.
Deepak Kumar, SDO of the Atali Electricity Corporation, stated that all JEs and linemen have been instructed to inspect and maintain power lines to prevent breakdowns during peak summer months. He emphasized that necessary estimates have been prepared to address transformer and line issues.
As part of additional measures, the frequently faulty Uninda feeder is being integrated with the 33 KV Bajad Power House, enhancing supply stability in villages like Uninda, Dhannouda, Chandpura, and Sujapur. Additionally, JE Narendra Kumar is leading efforts to divide Atali City into two power zones for improved electricity distribution.
Authorities have urged residents to cooperate by reporting electricity theft to ensure efficient power supply.
