Mars Transformers is a veteran-owned and operated company providing service and equipment solutions to the energy industry worldwide.
In addition to transformers, Mars offers ready-to-ship substation equipment such as high voltage disconnects, SF-6 breakers, instrument transformers, as well as fully equipped PDC buildings.
Bill Mars brings over 30 years of power generation, management, and technical experience to his role as managing partner. He is responsible for expanding Mars Transformers’ market presence as a global distributer of equipment.
Prior to founding Mars Transformers, Bill was vice president of high voltage at ProEnergy Services, vice president of operations for Equisales, a support manager for GE Energy Rentals, a products specialist for Thermadyne, and a technician for the Vermont Air National Guard and the United States Air Force.
As partner of Mars Transformers and HLI Rail and Rigging, Ross McLaren brings over 40 years of experience in the transportation and lifting of heavy equipment, particularly in the oil, gas, and power plant sectors.
The company was recently formed with the acquisition of personnel and equipment from the high voltage division of a large energy company. This partnership allows Mars Transformers to offer a single source solution for the supply, delivery, installation, assembly and maintenance of large power transformers, reports T&D World.
